Mrs. Lillie Turner Mitchell, 83, a resident and native of Franklin, died suddenly Monday, December 3, 2012, at 5:53 a.m., at her residence.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Mitchell Sr. of Franklin; three sons, Charles Mitchell Jr. of Jeanerette, Keith Mitchell of Houston, Texas and Louis “Holly HOOD” Mitchell of New Orleans; four daughters, Gwendolyn Mitchell and Shelia Oliver of Franklin, Charlene Jones and Christine Chattman of Houston; one brother, Walter J. Turner Sr. of Houston; two sisters, Bessie Holmes of Houston and Georgia Edwards of Franklin; 26 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Visitations will be observed Sunday, Dec. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Otis Chapel.

Burial rites will be read Sunday, at 2 p.m., at the mortuary, with the Rev. Larry Ester officiating. Interment will be in the Perpetual Park Cemetery in Franklin Monday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
