Shirley Washington, 64, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Patterson, died Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Teche Regional Medical Center, at 4:28 a.m.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 10 a.m. until funeral at 1 p.m., at Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson. Burial will follow in the Shield Cemetery in Patterson.

Shirley Washington leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Cleaudrey T. Hartman of Patterson; a son, Darrell M. Williams Sr. of Patterson; four daughters, Denise W. Wesley, Kim W. Green, Carolyn W. Verdun and Anita Washington, all of Patterson; two brothers, Gregory C. Hartman of Berwick and Kerry Gant of Patterson; three sisters, Degra Gant and Algean Brown, both of Patterson, and Lakita Henry of Opelousas; 12 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her father and her husband.
