BELLE ROSE -- Sheriff Mike Waguespack reports the arrest of a 28- year-old Napoleonville man has been arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation into the murder of Tony Rodriguez in Belle Rose last week, said Assumptin Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack.

Harrison Truehill of 612 Martin Luther King was taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon at the Criminal Investigation Division Office in Labadieville, Waguespack said in a news release.

Truehill was charged with a 23rd Judicial Court warrant second degree murder and was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center Tuesday night, he said.

Truehill is being held at the Assumption Parish Detention Center in Napoleonville awaiting his bond to be set.

“This is an ongoing investigation,” Waguespack said. “We cannot comment or release any details of this investigation at this time as investigators believe other individuals are involved in this homicide and we anticipate making additional arrests.”
