The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ulysses Mitchell Sr. and is employed by St. Mary Parish School Board. The groom is the son of the late Miss Mary Ann McDaniel and Mr. Lester Levine Sr. He is employed by the St. Mary Parish School Board and is mayor pro tempore for the Franklin City Council.
The bride, escorted by Mr. Burgess Mitchell, wore a white, A-line gown with pearl and crystal decorations at the top, back on the train. The gown was complimented by a long veil with crystal trimming.
Dr. Tammy Mitchell, sister of the bride, served as the maid of honor and Odelia Gordon served as the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Tammy Gray, Kathy Randolph and Kearnisha McDaniel. Christian Downing, daughter of the bride, and Brionna Long, niece of the bride, served as junior bridesmaids.
The attendants wore straight, silk gowns in purple and silver with rhinestone decorations.
Kenneth Lockett and Ricky Armelin served as the best men. The groomsmen were Donald Foulcard, Kevin McDaniel and Josh McDaniel. Brenden Downing Jr., son of the bride, served as junior groomsman.
The flower girl was Kennedi Levine, daughter of the groom, and the ring bearer was Allen Christopher Jones.
DeMarco McDaniel, Derrick Guilbeau Jr. and Martin Lee III served as ushers.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Franklin High School cafeteria.
The couple will reside in Franklin.
