Raintree Elementary pre-K classes visited the West End Branch Library for a Christmas program with storytelling, Cajun folklore and crafts. The three classes are pictured in front of the Cajun Christmas Tree at the branch. It is decorated with hand painted ornaments that depict the culture of each parish made by school children for all of the parishes in Louisiana. The tree is also decorated with Spanish moss, oyster shell Santas and crawfish as part of the area’s Cajun Culture.
