Central Catholic fell 65-49 to Comeaux Wednesday during opening round action at St. Thomas More’s Sunkist Shootout.

No individual statistics were available for Central Catholic (4-3).

Comeaux featured University of Louisiana at Lafayette signee Heyward Register, who led the squad with 22 points, including six three pointers. He also recorded eight rebounds and three steals.

Julian Thomas and Hunter Register also finished in double figures for Comeaux with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Central Catholic was scheduled to resume play today in a 1 p.m. elimination game against the loser of Wednesday’s first-round matchup between St. Augustine and Ellender.
