Carl J. Butler, 48, a native of Morgan City and resident of Patterson, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at 4:40 p.m., in Morgan City.

Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 29 at Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson, from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Willing Workers Cemetery in Patterson.

Carl leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Deadra Francis Butler of Patterson; a son, Carlon Kentrell Butler Sr. of Patterson; two brothers, Lenn Ray Bourgeois Jr. of Morgan City and Ryan Bourgeois of Gibson; one sister, Mary “Darrell” Harris of Bayou Vista; one grandchild; and a host of relatives and friends.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents.
