Lewis Thomas Talbot, 84, of Hitchcock, Texas, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 in Webster Texas. He was a resident of Hitchcock for 55 years.

He was born February 2, 1928 in Franklin to Lewis and Agnes Talbot.

Mr. Talbot was a veteran in the US Army, serving in the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the VFW 5400 of Alta Loma, a life member of American Legion #89 of Texas City, and he retired as a line foreman for Texas New Mexico Power Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Timothy Dale Talbot; grandson, John Thomas Hughes; and son-in-law, Rev. David M. Silva; and six siblings.

Mr. Talbot is survived by his wife of 61 years, Eva Lorraine Shultz Talbot of Hitchcock; son, Thomas L. Talbot; daughters and sons-in-law, Toni Marie Talbot and Roger Pritchett; Donna Lynn Silva; Paula Kay and Greg Devers; and Eva Lynn and Scott Armstrong; sister, Marguerite Talbot Keating; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Visitation was held Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque, Texas. Funeral service was Sunday, January 6, 2013, at 2 p.m., at the funeral home, with the Rev. Greg Garrett officiating. Burial followed at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas.
