Morgan City’s Elicia Dorsey is defended by Patterson’s Tala Johnson during earlier season action. Both squads will resume play tonight. Morgan City will be on the road for its District 8-4A opener against Ellender Memorial and Patterson will make the short trip to Central Catholic for nondistrict play.
The games will be made up Jan. 19 in Morgan City.
Boys will take the field at 11 a.m. and the girls will follow at 1 p.m.
This is the second time this week that the squad's games have been canceled due to rain.
On Tuesday, the squad's home district matches against Vandebilt Catholic also were postponed and will be made up on two separate dates, with the girls playing Wednesday and the boys on Jan. 28.
