St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests during the past weekend:

Kevin James, 27, of 813½ Iberia St., Franklin, was arrested Friday at 9:56 a.m. on a warrant charging him with aggravated assault. The warrant stems from an investigation into a complaint that James chased a male victim through St. Joseph while wielding a gun. He was booked and released after posting a $1,000 bond.

Paul Marchez, 38, of 204 Second St., Franklin, was arrested Friday at 9:34 p.m. on charges of reckless operation of a vehicle, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and no driver’s license. He was released on a summons. The vehicle was removed by a licensed driver.

Nicole G. Richard, 38, of 3111 Lake Palourde Road, Morgan City, was arrested Saturday at 8:35 a.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear on a charge of driving under suspension. She was released on a $1,500 bond.

Several people were arrested Saturday afternoon on charges of solicitation without a permit after they were observed going door to door in Centerville and produced an expired occupational permit. They included Timothy Cumer, 29, of Metairie; Kelsey Miller, 20, of Reserve; Christian Witte, 23, of Marrero; Christine Salsberry, 23, of Gretna; and Rosyalyn Darby, 22, of New Orleans. All five subjects were released on a summons to appear in court on April 17.

Jamie Butler, 31, of 1802 O Street, Patterson, was arrested Sunday at 2:10 p.m. on a warrant charging her with issuing worthless checks and released on a summons.

Luis Medina Rojas, 26, of Apt. 21 Terrebonne St., Morgan City, was arrested Saturday at 7:40 p.m. on charges of license plate lights required and operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the United States. Bond had not been set as of this morning.

Israel Becerra, 26, of Houma, was arrested Sunday at 1:18 a.m. on charges of speeding and operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the United States. No bond is set.

Kalep Michael Thomas, 20, of 224 Martin Luther King, Charenton, was arrested Sunday at 7:53 a.m. on charges of aggravated assault and domestic abuse battery. Bond had not been set as of this morning.

Isaac Matthew Martinez, 31, of 113 Martin Luther King Blvd., Baldwin, was arrested Sunday at 10:56 a.m. on a Morgan City Police Department warrant for failure to appear on a charge of disturbing the peace. Bond had not been set as of this morning.

Tanisha Lashan Wilkerson, 37, of 1116 Grace Street, Morgan City, was arrested Sunday at 2:18 p.m. on a charge of theft and on warrants for issuing worthless checks. Bond is set at $2,000.

Robert Wayne Ivie, 52, of Grand Isle, was arrested Sunday at 10:12 p.m. on charges of criminal trespassing, three counts of disturbing the peace intoxicated, two counts of simple assault and public intimidation. He was later released after posting a $2,250 bond.

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:

Paul Edward Burgess, 51, of Sanders Street, Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 10:56 a.m., on warrants charging him with possession with intent to distribute Lortab, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of synthetic cannabinoids and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance. Bond was set at $67,000.

Alfred J. Hill Jr., 27, of Wilfred Street, Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 4:53 p.m., on warrants charging him with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute Lortab, possession of synthetic cannabinoids, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a firearm by persons convicted of certain felonies, simple escape, resisting an officer by force and violence, resisting an officer by flight, no turn signal and failure to carry registration. Bond had not been set as of this morning.

Bernard Bryant Williams, 50, of Eagle Street, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 6:53 p.m., and charged with aggravated assault. Bond was set at $1,000.

A 16-year-old male was arrested Friday and charged with being a runaway juvenile. He was released to a legal guardian, pending possible juvenile court proceedings.

A 16-year-old male was arrested Friday and charged with three counts of simple burglary, simple assault, criminal mischief (filing a false police report) and curfew violation. He was held pending a 72-hour hearing.

A 14-year-old female was arrested Saturday and charged with curfew violation. She was released to a legal guardian, pending possible juvenile court proceedings.

A 15-year-old male was arrested Saturday and charged with curfew violation, possession of tobacco, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held pending a 72-hour hearing.

A 15-year-old male was arrested Saturday and charged with simple burglary. He was released to a legal guardian, pending possible juvenile court proceedings.
