CENTERVILLE _ The Centerville Bulldogs opened District 8-B action with a 57-52 victory over Hosanna Christian here Friday at the CHS Gym.

In girls action, Hosanna Christian earned a 41-19 district win over the Centerville Lady Bulldogs.

Centerville moved to 1-0 in District 8-B and 12-9 overall with the win.

Jumanji Washington fired in 18 points on seven deuces, one trey and 1 of 4 free throws.

Jerome Williams tossed in 13 points, bagging five field goals and 1 of 3 free throws.

Juwan Thomas also finished in double digits with 10 points on five floor shots.

Other top scorers for Centerville were: Zacchaeus Jackson, 8; Courtland Pogue, 4; Rodrick Harris, 2, and Quinton Nettles, 2.

Hosanna Christian turned back the Centerville Lady Bulldogs.
