He was a commercial fisherman for 40 years.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pharr Chapel Methodist Church in Morgan City.
He is survived by his sons, Morris T. Liner Jr. and Tandy M. Liner, both of Theriot; and his brother, Roger Liner of Morgan City.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and a brother.
