West St. Mary overcame a sluggish start to grab a 27-26 lead at the half. In the third stanza, the Lady Wolfpack securd a 44-30 advantage. In the final period, the Lady Wolfpack went on a 12-4 run to ice away their third straight league victory by a score of 56-34.
Joe led all scorers with 19 points on seven field goals and 5 of 8 freebies. Cross pumped in 12 points, knocking down one trey, three deuces and 3 of 6 free throws. Wells bagged 11 points on five field goals and 1 of 3 charity shots.
Rounding out the scoring for the Lady Wolfpack were: Gerianna Lyons, 6; Sequoya Fergerson, 3; Chi’Kira Tillman, 3, and Rhaya Marks, 2.
Ambrielle Clark led Jeanerette with 12 points.
West St. Mary (9-6, 3-0) will travel to face Catholic High of New Iberia on Tuesday in league play.
