BATON ROUGE _ Jerrell Martin poured in 36 points to lead Madison Prep to an 87-59 home victory over Centerville Bulldogs in District 8-B action here Friday.

Martin, a 6-9 LSU commitment, tossed in a game-high 36 points to propel Madison Prep.

Madison Prep improves to 30-3 overall and 2-0 in 8-B with the home win.

Centerville drops to 13-10 overall and 2-1 in 8-B.

Centerville will travel to Lafayette Christian on Tuesday, while Madison Prep hosts Holden.

Centerville was led in scoring by Juwan Thomas with 18 points on three treys, four deuces and 1 of 2 free throws. Jerome Williams finished with 14 points on three treys and 5 of 7 free throws. Jumanji Washington burned the nets for 13 points on three floor shots along with 7 of 9 freebies.

Other top scorers for the Bulldogs were: Zacchaeus Jackson, 6; Rodney Harris, 4; Courtland Pogue, 2 and Cameron Pogue, 2.

Martin led Madison Prep with 36 points on nine deuces, four treys and 6 of 8 free throws.
