Mr. Coye Wayne Franklin, 42, a resident and native of Morgan City, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at 11:45 p.m., at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City following a short illness.

He is survived by his mother, Lois Franklin Jones of Patterson; one brother, Shawn A. Franklin and wife, Tiffany, of Shreveport; and three sisters, Keisha D. Jones and Jamal of Sunset, La’Mon Jones and Tiffany Jones of Houston, Texas.

Mr. Franklin was preceded in death by his father.

Visitations will be observed Monday, Jan. 28, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at New Zora Baptist Church in Morgan City.

Burial rites will be read Monday, at 6 p.m., at that church, with the Rev. Terry L. Joseph officiating. Interment will be Jan. 29, at 10 a.m., in the Morgan City Cemetery.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
