Long-time physician

NEW ORLEANS – Services for long-time physician Dr. Paul Naccari, Jr. will be Wednesday. He died Jan. 25 at age 83,.

He was an FAA medical examiner for more than 30 years. He was former chief of staff of Pendleton Methodist Memorial Hospital and on is board and executive committee for 28 years. He was former president of the Orleans Medical Society and most recently director of the Methodist Health Systems Foundation.

Survivors include his wife Jerleen, a son and four daughters.

Arrangements are by Lake Lawn.

Cotton farmer

LECOMPTE – Services for farmer and co-op director Henry Boone, Jr. will be Monday. He died Jan. 26 at age 85.

He was a member of the founding board of Cotton Storage Warehouse, president of the board of Cotton Growers Gin and on the board of Bayou Boeuf Co-op.

Survivors include a son and two daughters.

Arrangements are by John Kramer & Son.

Music educator

ALEXANDRIA – Services for music educator Emma Rae O’Neal Petrus will be Tuesday. She died Jan. 23 at age 75.

She began the choral music program at Holy Savior Menard High, where she taught and also produced and directed musical theater for 18 years. She was guest soloist with the Rapides Symphony, performed leading roles in numerous Matinee Musical Club operas and starred in many musicals of the Central Louisiana Little Theater, where she served at time as stage director, musical director, board member and president. After retirement, she started and managed Petrus Lawn and Shrub and Custom Christmas.

Survivors include her husband Thomas and a son.

Arrangements are by John Kramer & Son.

Former mayor

FOREST HILL – Services were Sunday for former mayor Walter Guillory, Sr. He died Jan. 24 at age 85.

He was a retired Merchant Marines captain and a business owner for more than 20 years.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter.

Arrangements were by Rush.
