ARNAUDVILLE — A Mass of Christian Burial for Hilda Palacios Campaneria, 89, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church, 223 Main St., Arnaudville, with the Rev. Bill Ruskoski as celebrant.

Visitation will held today, Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at David Funeral Home of Lafayette from 5 to 9 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. Monday. Private graveside services with immediate family only present will follow church services Tuesday morning at Franklin Cemetery, 1202 Main St., Franklin.

Mrs. Campaneria passed away peacefully at her home in Arnaudville Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, surrounded by her loving daughter and son-in-law.

Hilda was born March 22, 1923, in Havana, Cuba, and came to the United States in 1962. She lived in Franklin where she raised her children, Hilda Maria and Juan Manuel IV, with her husband, Juan Manuel Campaneria III. They later moved to Lafayette and were members of St. Pius X Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, as well as a member of the St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville. She was a very loving and devoted housewife, a devout Catholic, enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren, dancing with her loving husband of 50 years and also enjoyed listening to all types of music and visiting with friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Hilda Maria Brennan and son-in-law, Ray Brennan; son, Juan Manuel Campaneria IV and his wife, Maxine; granddaughter, Mandy White Lefkowitz and spouse, Darin Lefkowitz; and grandsons, Bryan White Sr. and his spouse, Leslie White, Adam Campaneria, Mason Campaneria and Joseph Coby Brennan. She also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren, Sara, Logan, Rachel, Shayna, Bryan Jr., Jordyn, Nyla and Blaze; and three sisters, Carmen Costa, Marianela Palacios and Anabel Palacios.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Manuel Campaneria III; and her parents, Gerardo and Adamina Palacios.

David Funeral Home, 316 Youngsville Hwy., Lafayette (337-837-9887), is in charge of all of the arrangements.
