State Police said the accident happened shortly after 7 p.m. east of La. 752 (Belleau Road).
According to troopers, a pickup driven by Vincent Fruge, 67, of Eunice was traveling west and a Tahoe driven by Ryan Godeaux, 22, also of Eunice was traveling behind Fruge.
Troopers said Kendessa Castile, 7, of Church Point attempted to cross the highway when she was struck by the two vehicles and killed.
Neither Fruge nor Godeaux were injured. Routine toxicology samples were taken.
This crash remains under investigation.
