A Funeral service celebrating the life of Ms. Rita Hart, 45, will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013, at 2 p.m., at Greater Israelite Divine Spiritual Church No. 5, (Rev. Isabella Gasper, Pastor), 222 Flattown Rd. in Charenton. Bishop Charles Perry Jr., pastor of Walls of Salvation & Praise Ministry in Baldwin, will be officiating.

A resident of Charenton, Ms. Hart passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013 in New Iberia surrounded by loved ones following a brief illness.

Cherishing her memory are her three children, Malcolm Hart and Jennifer Hart, both of Charenton, and Tory Hart of Atlanta, Georgia; one brother, Barry Hart of Houston, Texas; one sister, Loretta Hart of New Iberia; one niece, Brianna Davis of New Iberia; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Emily Stevenson; her father, James Wiley; her grandmother, Sarah S. Lumpkin; her aunt, Orelia Lumpkin and her cousin, Marcus Jackson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 2, at the church from 12 Noon until the time of service.
