The railroad crossings on Enterprise Boulevard and Veterans Boulevard in Patterson will be closed from 5 a.m. to noon Friday.

The traffic that usually uses Veterans Boulevard will have to use the Tiffany Street crossing to access U.S. 90, according to Steve Bierhorst, city public works director.

All traffic exiting Tiffany Street onto U.S. 90 will not be able to cross over U.S. 90 to go west, but will have to turn right and go east on U.S. 90 and make a U-turn to go west. Patterson police will be at this intersection to make sure the traffic flows smoothly Friday morning.

People who live near the Enterprise Boulevard crossing will be able to exit the subdivision by going south on Enterprise Boulevard and crossing onto the temporary roadway being constructed on Waveland Drive onto Tiffany Street.

The extension of Waveland Drive is a temporary roadway for these types of events, Bierhorst stated.
