MORGAN CITY — Morgan City 8-, 10- and 12-year-old All-Stars will be in action this weekend at their invitational tournament at Morgan City High School.

Local action kicks off at 8 a.m. when Morgan City and Patterson squads in each age group face each other. The 12s will play in the multi-purpose gym, while the 10s will play in the boys’ gym and the 8s will play in the girls’ gym.

Morgan City’s 12s also will play at 1:50 p.m. Saturday in the multi-purpose building against Terrebonne’s 11s.

Patterson’s 12s also will play the Mandeville Magic at 3 p.m. Saturday in the boys’ gym.

In 10-year-old action, Morgan City also will play at 12:40 p.m. against Raceland in the boys’ gym, while Patterson will also play at 1:50 p.m. Saturday in the boys’ gym against Terrebonne’s 9s.

In 8-year-old action, Morgan City will play St. James East at 11:30 a.m. in the girls’ gym, while Patterson and St. James West will follow at 12:40 p.m. in the girls’ gym.

Other local teams playing in 12-year-old action include Terrebonne, South Lafourche, Madisonville, St. James West, St. James East and Raceland.

In the 10s, other participants include Terrebonne, St. James East, St. James West and Madisonville.

In the 8s, Terrebonne also will participate.

Bracket play in all three age groups will begin at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. The 12s will play in the multi-purpose gym, the 10s in the boys’ gym and the 8s in the girls’ gym.

Bracket play will continue Sunday with the 12s in the multi-purpose gym and the 8s and 10s in the boys’ gym.

The finals for the 12s will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the multi-purpose building, while the finals for the 8s and 10s will be held at 12:45 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively, in the boys’ gym.
