March 21, 1935 — February 1, 2013

Hazel Marie Laubach, 77, a resident of Morgan City and a native of Concordia, Kan., passed away on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Teche Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Marie worked over 30 years at Wal-Mart in many different positions, but most recently as one of the door greeters who always had a smile waiting for all the customers. To her family and friends she was always known to be the most thoughtful, caring and dedicated person they knew. She always placed her children and grandchildren ahead of herself and never complained. Marie will be truly missed but never forgotten.

Marie is survived by her three sons, David Laubach Sr. and wife, Celine, of Morgan City, Benjamin Laubach Jr. and wife, Claire, of Florida and Gary Laubach and wife, Vicki, of Patterson; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edith and Ruth; one brother, Albert; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Laubach Sr.; parents, Otis and Edith McCall; nine brothers; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Twin City Funeral Home beginning at 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. She will be laid to rest at the Morgan City Mausoleum.
