Emily is a senior and the 17-year-old daughter of Mark and Michele Chauvin of Franklin. She is a member of Church of Assumption. Emily currently serves her school as student council president and 4-H club president. She is also a varsity cheerleader, campus minister, and baseball statistician. Emily is an active member of the National Honor Society, St. Mary Parish Jr. Leader Club, and Louisiana and National Junior Swine Show Circuit.
Emily has volunteered at summer bible camp, Food for Families Food Drive, and St. Mary Parish Livestock Show. She has attended 4-H camp and Challenge Camp as a counselor for the younger members and has participated in 4-H University at Louisiana State University for four years.
After graduation Emily plans to attend McNeese State University to obtain a degree in agriculture-business. She wants to work within the agriculture community and continue to volunteer her time to the 4-H livestock program and other civic related activities.
Taylor Switzer is an eighth grader and the daughter of Shawn and Mary Switzer of Jeanerette and has maintained a 4.0 grade point average since sixth grade. She has received class medals for English, math, reading and religion. Taylor was selected to participate in the Duke University Talent Search. She is an active member of the 4-H Club and also served as class president.
She represents Hanson in the community with her participation in Relay for Life and in her church parish, St. John the Evangelist. She has attended 4-H camp and 4-H Fun Day.
