ABBEVILLE – Bond had been reduced for a woman who allegedly tried to kill her sister, failing when the gun did not fire.

Nicole Hebert’s bond was dropped from $160,000 Thursday to a total of $46,000.

Hebert, who lives near Maurice, allegedly tried to shoot and kill her sister with a pump shotgun in October.

Allegedly, a witness saw her pull the trigger of the shotgun, but it did not fire because the shotgun shells were placed in backwards.

She has completed a 90-day drug rehab program since her arrest.
