The Harold J. “Babe” Landry Landfill in Berwick will close at noon on Mardi Gras Day. Morgan City’s Sanitation Department will not collect Tuesday routes. However, Tuesday’s routes will be collected Wednesday.
Progressive Waste Management will collect its routes earlier than usual on Fat Tuesday and its office will close at noon.
The U.S. Postal Service offices in the Tri-City area will have different window hours for Mardi Gras. Morgan City Post Office’s Brashear Avenue and First Street service windows will be closed all day Fat Tuesday. Amelia, Berwick and Patterson Post Office windows will close at noon on Mardi Gras.
Mail routes serviced by Morgan City’s post office in Amelia, Bayou Vista, Berwick and Morgan City will not be delivered. Patterson mail routes will run as usual.
