Hazel Harris, 83, a native and resident of Morgan City, died at 12:41 a.m. Tuesday at Morgan City Healthcare.

Visitation will be Wednesday at Siracusa Recreation Center from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Morgan City Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Cain Harris of Morgan City; a son, Walter Augustine Jr. of Houma; two daughters, Ethel Marie Carbins and Carolyn Escort, both of Morgan City; three brothers, Albert Watson and Raymond “RJ” Ruffin, both of Morgan City, and Larry Watson of Breaux Bridge; seven sisters, Vera L. Jones, Elyven M. Bobb, Patsy A. O’Gwin, Kathryn R. Thomas, Helen Mae Collins and Caroline Green, all of Morgan City, and Joyce E. Matthews of Schriever; three grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
