MORGAN CITY, La. --The Mardi Gras season will wrap up this afternoon with the final two parades in the Tri-City area.

Both parades will start at 2 p.m. Parade goers should be prepared for the possibility of rain as the area is expected to see a 60 percent chance.

The Krewe of Hephaestus parade will begin at the corner of Sixth and Sycamore streets in Morgan City. It will proceed down Sixth Street to Marguerite Street, Ninth Street, Clothilde Street, Victor II Boulevard and end at the auditorium.

The Siracusa/Greenwood Community Parade will line up on Siracusa Road at 1 p.m. and proceed to James Street and Grace Street before ending at the Siracusaville Recreation Center.

The Tri-City area has already seen four parades, including the Krewe of Adonis parade in Morgan City on Friday, the Krewe of Dionysus parade in Bayou Vista on Saturday, the Krewe of Galatea parade in Morgan City on Sunday and the Krewe of Amani parade in Patterson on Monday.

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s office made one arrest along a parade route over the weekend, and Morgan City police have not reported any incidents or arrests along parade routes.
