John Sonnier Jr., top at center, was winner of the poultry sweepstakes in the exhibition poultry division at the St. Mary Parish Junior Fair and Livestock Show held Jan. 19. Sonnier also garnered awards for champion bantam cock rooster, champion bantam hen and champion bantam cockerel. In the middle photo at center, Shaye Polito won reserve poultry sweepstakes in exhibition poultry, champion standard cock rooster and champion standard cockerel. At bottom center, Ashton Landry won champion standard pullet. All are pictured with Chitimacha Tribal Chairman John Darden at left and St. Mary Parish President Paul Naquin at right.
