September 7, 1938 — February 7, 2013

Celia Mobert Burke, a native of New Iberia and a resident of Patterson, joined her Lord and Savior Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at the Patterson Health Care Center.

Celia is survived by her loving son, Edwin Burke and his fiancé, Melissa Strother Barrilleaux; her loving daughters, Tina Grossie and Gwen Vincent; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Mobert and Isabelle Blanchard Mobert; and her brother, Oscar Mobert.

Celia was a fun and loving person. She enjoyed cooking and spent her days as a housewife tending to her family. Celia will be missed but never forgotten.

A Memorial visitation will be held Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. Burial will be held privately by the family at a later date.
