Jamboree.
Local prep softball teams will participate in jamborees this weekend, beginning today when Berwick opens play in the Thibodaux Jamboree.
The Lady Panthers will face Thibodaux at 4 p.m., followed by a 5 p.m. matchup against Assumption.
On Saturday, the Lady Panthers, as well as Central Catholic, will participate in the Teurlings Catholic Jamboree.
Both local squads will face off at 12:30 p.m., while Berwick will play immediately after against Teurlings at 1:40 p.m.
Central Catholic will face Teurlings at 2:50 p.m.
In other softball action, Patterson will participate in the Franklin jamboree Saturday where they will face Franklin at 11 a.m. and Hanson at noon.
The Lumberjills scrimmaged Centerville Thursday and traveled today for a scrimmage with Vandebilt Catholic at 3:30 p.m.
Morgan City will participate in the Assumption Jamboree where it will face St. James at noon and Vandebilt Catholic at 1:30 p.m.
