—Paula Blakeman, 52, of Clarke Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 12:26 a.m. Saturday for driving while intoxicated and improper lane usage. A deputy observed a vehicle swerving on La. 182 in the Franklin area and conducted a traffic stop. Upon making contact with the driver, identified as Blakeman, the deputy detected the odor of alcohol on her breath and person, the report stated. During the investigation, Blakeman performed poorly on the field sobriety test and later registered .175 grams-percent on the Intoxilyzer 5000 breath test, the report stated. Blakeman was taken to the parish jail and held. She was released on $2,750 bail.
—Keith Faulk, 53, of Village Lane in Amelia, was arrested at 12:10 p.m. Saturday for violations of the vicious animals and leash law parish ordinance. A deputy investigating a complaint of a goat killed by dogs made contact with Faulk whose dogs were loose on the night the goat was killed. Faulk stated to the deputy that he will take responsibility for what his dogs did. Faulk was released on a summons to appear in court on May 21.
—Elisha Maxwell, 17, of Carl Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 4:09 p.m. Sunday for theft. A deputy responded to a complaint of a shoplifter at Walmart in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store security that Maxwell was observed concealing items in her purse. Maxwell was released on a summons to appear in court on May 21.
—Nicole Aucoin, 21, of Maine Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 12:05 p.m. Friday on a warrant for possession of schedule IV (Clonazepam). Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division located Aucoin at the parish courthouse in Franklin on the warrant. Aucoin was taken to the parish jail and held. She was released on $2,500 bail.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
