Timothy Charles Bauer, 51, of Grizzaffi Road in Morgan City, was arrested at 4:26 p.m. Sunday for possession of marijuana, two counts battery of a police officer, simple criminal damage to property, disturbing the peace by using foul language, disarming a police officer, two counts resisting a police officer, resisting a police officer by force, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts threatening a public official, criminal trespassing and obstruction of justice.
A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area responded to a report of a suspicious person on Clarke Road. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with a subject identified as Bauer. As the deputy began speaking with Bauer, he became belligerent using profanity.
The deputy observed Bauer attempting to hide a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana, the report stated. The bag fell to the ground and Bauer stepped on it. When the deputy asked that Bauer move his foot, he refused. During the investigation, Bauer continually used foul language. As Bauer was being placed in the patrol unit he kicked a deputy in the face and also struck the deputy’s duty weapon. Bauer was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set.
