The 9th annual Hanson Memorial School Baseball Invitational will be held February 28 through March 2 at the Amar Lancon Field.

A total of eight teams will play in a round-robin format in the 2013 HMS Invitational Tournament.

Team playing in this year’s tournament include: Patterson, Loreauville, Delcambre, Ridgewood, Assembly, Houma Christian, Highland and host Hanson Memorial.

Action opens today with a pair of games on tap, beginning at 3:30 p.m. with the Patterson Lumberjacks taking on the Loreauville Tigers.

Tonight’s second game will pit the Hanson Memorial Tigers against the Delcambre Panthers at 6.

Three games will be played on Friday with Ridgewood and Assembly squaring off at 3:30 p.m. Friday’s second game will have the Delcambre Panthers playing the Patterson Lumberjacks at 5:30 p.m. In Friday’s nightcap, the Hanson Memorial Tigers will take the field against the Houma Christian Warriors at 7:30.

A full slate of six games will conclude the three-day tournament.

Saturday’s action opens at 9 a.m. when Assembly battles Highland. At 11 a.m. Ridgewood will play Houma Christian before Highland and Loreauville square off at 1 p.m. Delcambre and Ridgewood will meet at 3 p.m. prior to Houma Christian taking on Loureauville at 5 p.m.

The Hanson Tigers will play the Patterson Lumberjacks at 7 p.m. in Saturday’s finale.

Admission for the HMS Baseball Tourney is $6.
