In the opener, Loreauville held off Patterson, 15-12.
The Delcambre Panthers topped the Hanson Memorial Tigers 17-5 in the nightcap. Hanson’s Evan Thibodeaux took the mound loss. Leading hitters for the Tigers were: Jacob Hebert, double; Bryce Ronsonet, double; Bo Barrilleaux, single and John Guienze, single.
Action continues today with three games on tap in the 9th Annual HMS Invitational Tournament.
At 3:30 p.m., Ridgewood will battle Assembly prior to Delcambre playing Patterson at 5:30 p.m. and Hanson Memorial playing Houma Christian in the nightcap at 7:30.
Six games will be played on Saturday as the round-robin format continues. Saturday’s action opens at 9 a.m. with Assembly playing Highland. Ridgewood will take on Houma Christian at 11 a.m. while Highland and Loreauville will battle at 1 p.m. Delcambre and Ridgewood will square off at 3 p.m. before Highland squares off against Loreauville at 5 p.m. Saturday’s action concludes at 7 p.m. when Hanson battles Patterson.
