Noted educator

BATON ROUGE – Services for education leader Janet Langlois will be Tuesday. She died March 1 at age 63.

She was a former classroom teacher and former president of the Louisiana Reading Association. She was former assistant director of the State Title 1 program and created the education for homeless children and the Even Start Family Literacy programs in Louisiana.

Survivors include her husband, Gregory, a son and a daughter.

Arrangements are by Greenoaks.

Flower show judge

BREAUX BRIDGE – Services for honored flower show judge Gussie Delahoussaye will be Tuesday. She died March 2 at age 98.

She sat on the Southwest Judges Council of Flower Shows and was a nationally accredited flower show judge.

Arrangements are by Pellerin.

Former gas exec, Guard colonel

WEST MONROE – Services for former gas company executive Donald Jones will be Monday. He died Feb. 28 at age 83.

He was a retired Louisiana Army National Guard colonel and retired executive vice president and COO of Louisiana Gas Service Co.

Survivors include three children.

Arrangements are by Kilpatrick.
