Douglas Joseph Pennison Jr., 65, a native of Amelia and resident of Donner, died on March 3, 2013.

Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, March 5, 2013, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Thibodaux Funeral Home in Thibodaux. Visitation will resume at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Chacahoula on Wednesday, March 6, at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery in Amelia.

Douglas is survived by his wife of 31 years, Felicia “Lisa” Pennison; sons, Douglas Joseph Pennison III and wife, Juliann, and Christopher Anthony Pennison and wife, Candace Elizabeth; grandchildren, Madeline Pennison, Aiden Pennison and Hudson Pennison.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas Pennison Sr. and Agatha Dubois Pennison.

Douglas was a 28-year employee of A.B.L. Fabricators in Amelia and a parishioner of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Chacahoula.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
