Helen Hattie Harding-Spencer, 89, a native of Weeks Island and a resident of Jeanerette, died at 5:02 p.m. March 2 at Maison Teche Nursing Center.

Visitation will be Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 101 Main St., in Baldwin from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Survivors include three sons, Earcel Spencer of Jeanerette, Steward Spencer Sr. of Baton Rouge and Terry Drexler of Verdunville; four daughters, Carol Bruner of Four Corners, Hattie Thompson of Jeanerette, Georgia Carbins of Morgan City and Laura Watson Sr. of Baton Rouge; one brother, Herbert Harding of Jeanerette; 24 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, a daughter, a grandson, a granddaughter, two sisters and four brothers.
