Central Catholic defeated Berwick High in girls’ and boys’ tennis action Thursday at Kemper Williams Park near Patterson.
The Lady Eagles defeated the Lady Panthers, 6-2, while the Eagles defeated the Panthers, 3-2.
In girls’ singles’ action, Central Catholic’s Jaclyn Garber defeated Signe Parsiola, 8-6, but Garber fell to Carolyn Sanford, 8-6.
Central Catholic’s Allie Landry defeated Cari Powell, 8-5.
In doubles’ action, Berwick’s Claire Parsiola and Mary Margaret Sanford beat Kate Patterson and Emma Thomas, 8-3, while Patterson and Jessica Landry defeated Emma Gray and Allis Armato, 8-6.
In other doubles’ action, Central Catholic’s Brooke Picou and Landry defeated Shereen Richard and Abby Ledet, 8-6; Picou and Thomas defeated Jeanne Marie Hidalgo and Abigail Askew, 8-2; and Maggie Martin and Central Catholic’s Lindsey Case and Lynze Belle defeated Maggie Martin and Hannah Walker, 8-4.
In boys’ singles’ action, Central Catholic’s Zachary Osburn defeated Evan Boudreaux, 8-2; and Osburn defeated Jayce Rentrope, 8-0.
In doubles’ play, Berwick’s Riley Credeur and Nate Furlette beat Conner Hebert and Gage Theriot, 6-7, 6-2, 10-8, while Berwick’s Brady Oncale and VC Caruso defeated Noah Osburn and Brandon Anslum, 7-5, 6-3.
Central Catholic’s Quin Duffy and Sal Grizzaffi defeated Andre’ Adams and Geisler Ibert, 6-4, 6-4.
