A memorial gathering was held Monday, March 11, 2013 at Ibert’s Mortuary, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., to remember the life of Mr. George Halton Lenz, 88, a native of Montgomery, Alabama and a resident of Franklin for the past 13 years, who passed away Friday, March 8, 2013, at 1:38 a.m., at the Franklin Health Care Center. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.

Mr. Lenz is survived by his wife of 42 years, Pearl Mary Guillot Lenz; his son, Stephen Kysor and his family; one sister, Elsie Gentry; one stepdaughter, Pearl Mary Jacobsen; five step grandchildren; and eight step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and one stepdaughter, Janice Singleton Bodin.
