The jury trial, which is expected to last three weeks, was rescheduled by U.S. District Judge Elizabeth Foote following a telephone pretrial conference conducted Friday.
The trial had been set for March 25 as Panos' attorney, Scott Iles of Lafayette, had requested a speedy trial.
The delay was requested by federal prosecutors due to the "voluminous nature of the evidence," which includes audio recordings of approximately 25 alleged controlled drug buys, 25 drug samples, 25 boxes of documents and testimony from 30 to 40 employees.
Panos as arrested and indicted in December for maintaining drug-involved premises at the Carencro strip club. He pleaded not guilty.
