Lana Jean Ritchie Thompson, 55, a native of east St. Mary Parish and resident of Morgan City, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013, at her son’s residence in Patterson.

Lana is survived by her two loving sons, Roy Blanco and his wife, Courtney and Cody Blanco and his wife, Lauren; two sisters, Kay Raymond and her husband, Mike and Mary Smith and her husband, Ray; and two granddaughters, Lainey Blanco and Olivia Blanco.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ray John Copeland; and her mother, Mary Catherine Goward Ritchie.

Lana’s enjoyments were her pets, riding motorcycles and traveling. When traveling, she especially enjoyed visiting mountain scenery and the beach.

A visitation of remembrance will be held Thursday, March 14, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City, with visitation resuming Friday, March 15, at 11 a.m. until the time of services. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 15, at 1 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City with burial being held privately by the family.
