MORGAN CITY — The Quick Start Junior Tennis League and Little Tennis began Monday and will hold a session for the next six weeks.

The event will be held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week.

Quick Start League uses smaller racquets, foam and low compression balls and smaller court sizes to enable youngsters to begin playing tennis as early as possible. It is open to ages 7 through 12.

Each lesson will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Players should attend classes two days per week.

Lessons are $90 per session and include match play.

If a class is rained out, players should attend another day of their choice so they receive 12 classes.

A tournament will be announced.

In the Little Tennis, the classes are held Monday through Wednesday from 6:15 p.m. to 7 p.m. and are open to ages 3.5 to 6.

Players also should attend classes two days per week.

The session is $80.

To register, call 380-4622 or email srhodes.strictlytennis@gmail.com.

The programs are held through the Morgan City Recreation Department under the direction of Strictly Tennis.
