Well-known historian Roger Busbice will lead a talk on local Civil War battles at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 21 at the Jeanerette Bicentennial Park and Museum

“Blood on the Teche: Civil War 1862-63” will focus on some of the area’s local battles and more.

Busbice was chief historian for Louisiana’s Old State Capitol and a longtime adjunct instructor of history at Nicholls State University and the LSU Lagniappe Program. He is the author of several articles which have been published in various magazines, newspapers and newsletters.
