Sarah Sonnier was nearly perfect on the mound, striking out eight batters while allowing only three hits with two walks over five scoreless innings. Sonnier was in command of her pitches all day, throwing 12 out of 20 first pitch strikes while throwing 80 pitches in recording the mound victory.

The Hanson Lady Tigers struck early on the way to their perfect 3-0 record in league play.
Hanson collected six runs in the first frame and three more in the second inning for a 9-0 lead heading into the third inning. In the fourth stanza, Hanson held a commanding 11-0 advantage before earning the huge 14-0 District 8-A triumph with three runs in the bottom half of the fifth frame in the abbreviated contest.
On the day, the Hanson Lady Tiger recorded 14 runs on 15 hits with no errors.
Hanson improved to 7-5 overall with a 3-0 league record.
