The Berwick Panthers and Lady Panthers both struggled against Catholic High-New Iberia in tennis action Tuesday at Kemper Williams Park near Patterson.

The Lady Panthers won two of six matches, while the Panthers were winless in five matches.

In singles’ play, Signe Parsiola and Carolyn Sanford each fell 6-0, 6-0, while in doubles play, the Lady Panthers’ Claire Parsiola and Mary Margaret Sanford were victorious, 6-1, 6-2.

Also, Berwick’s Emma Gray and Allis Armato defeated a duo from Catholic High, 6-4, 6-7, 1-7, with the third set having a 10-6 tiebreaker.

In other girls’ doubles’ action, Berwick’s duo of Shereen Richard and Abby Ledet fell 4-6, 4-6, while Abigail Askew and Jeanne Marie Hidalgo fell 4-8.

In boys’ action, Berwick’s Evan Boudreaux fell 0-6, 2-6, while the Panthers’ Jayce Rentrop fell 1-3, 3-6.

In doubles’ action, Riley Credeur and Nate Furlette fell 5-7, 0-6, while V.C. Caruso and Geisler Ibert lost 2-6, 0-6, and André Adams and Boudreaux were defeated 0-6, 2-6.
