Police responded to a call at 10:52 p.m. Friday to a single vehicle crash at the corner of Brashear and Federal avenues near Shannon Elementary.
Officers discovered that a vehicle had struck a utility pole causing damage to the pole and the vehicle involved. The male driver of the vehicle was taken to Teche Regional Hospital for injuries received in the collision. The driver of the vehicle was treated and released, the news release stated.
The crash is still under investigation and charges may be pending once the results of tests are received. The driver is not identified at this time pending completion of the investigation.
