Morgan City placed 10 on the all-district team for Division II’s District 8, including four on the first team.
Senior center defenders Adam Lacy and Tyler Jones made the first team as did sophomore forwards Irving Delgado and Daniel Alvarado.
Of Jones and Lacy, head coach Trevor Patterson said, “These two controlled our defense all year and worked together in the center.”
Patterson said Delgado, who joined the squad during the middle of the season, made an impact on the team. He scored three goals and assisted in four more.
Alvarado was entering his first year playing soccer at Morgan City High School and scored seven goals and assisted in four more.
The Tigers’ second team selections included junior defender Justin Moye, freshman midfielder/forward Mario Sanchez, and junior midfielder Logan Scully.
Patterson said Moye provided speed to the defense.
“He will help fill the loss of our seniors,” Patterson said.
The Morgan City coach said that Sanchez “will develop into a great player.”
Patterson said Scully showed improvement and worked hard to become a starter.
Honorable mention selections for the Tigers were Trevor Beam, Forrest Gros and David Tran.
