The five miss contestants are Michaela Balli, Tangela Delco, Rachel Michelle Lemoine, Nikki Nicole Pennison and Joaja Wilson. The teen contestants are Sarah Grace Angeron, McKensie Anslum, Casie Lynn Boudreaux, Caylee Deshotel and Katelyn Thibodaux.
Miss contestants and their brief biographies are:
Balli, 18-year-old daughter of Eddie and Tammy Balli of Morgan City, is a freshman at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux.
Her club and organization interest is Baptist Collegiate Ministries. Her interests are reading, writing, photography and bowling.
She is an active member of the Bayou Vista Baptist Youth Group.
Delco, 20-year-old daughter of Brenda Delco, is a graduate of Patterson High School.
Her honors include winning an Instructor Award and receiving a talent and modeling contract with The Model Shop. She dances and teaches choreography with Spectacular X-plosive Steppaz.
Her interests are dancing, singing, writing poetry and modeling.
Lemoine, 18-year-old daughter of Ellen Lemoine of Patterson and the late Glenn Lemoine, is a senior at Patterson High.
Her recent honors include Seventh Degree Crackerjack, PHS VIP, named All-American Mascot, PHS Word-Millionaire for two years, homecoming court, and being named president of Student Body, Student Council and 4-H, Beta vice president and being chosen a Shining Star.
She is also a member of Jack-to-Jack Mentor, prom committee, National Honors Society, Helping Hands, yearbook and Historical Society.
Her interests are athletics, photography, reading, graphic designing and crafts. Community activities include helping with City of Patterson cleanup days, tutoring classmates, volunteering at Special Olympics and the Children’s Christmas Bazaar, designing computer graphics for school and community, and donating photography services.
Pennison, 18-year-old daughter of Rene and Tammy Pennison of Morgan City, is a freshman at Nicholls.
Her high school honors include Most Friendliest, homecoming and prom courts, sweetheart maid, Eye of the Tiger award and Second Team All-District catcher.
Her interests include softball, volleyball, baton twirling, taking pictures, hunting, camping, riding four wheelers and being outdoors. She is involved in her community as a blood donor, Relay for Life participant/volunteer, and supporting the Salvation Army and Toys for Tots through donations.
Wilson, 17-year-old daughter of Umeki Wilson and Joseph Wilson Jr., is a senior at Franklin High School.
Her honors include American All-Star Dance Team, All-American Cheerleader and second place in the 100 Black Men essay. She is a Delta Sigma Theta debutante, and a member of the cheerleading squad, band, choir, People of the Way Mentors, LMBC Soul Inspirations and is a school mentor.
She was named to Who’s Whom Among American Students Choir, Drama and Dance. Her interests include music, dancing, acting, singing, drawing, writing and fashion. Community activities include mentoring the youth at her church, being a choir and dance ministry member and a child health care volunteer.

Angeron, 16-year-old daughter of Alan and Millie Angeron of Patterson, is a sophomore at Berwick High School.
Her honors include being a gifted, talented and honor student and as a freshman at Patterson High she was voted class president. She is a member of the Morgan City Children’s Theatre.
Her interests are swimming, dancing, paddle boarding, reading, drawing, singing and playing guitar. Her community services include volunteering for United Blood Services, teaching children’s church, junior counselor at the Assembly of God kids summer camp, volunteer at Louisiana State Museum Easter Egg Hunt and in the Abandoned Student Ministries at The Crossing Place Fellowship.
Anslum, 16-year-old daughter of Terry and Tara Anslum, is a freshman at Berwick High.
The honor roll student is a Powercat. She belongs to HOSA, Girl Scouts and Barbizon.
Her interests include dance, hunting, fishing, reading and playing softball. In the community she is a youth leader for Girl Scouts Summer Camps, helps with the American Red Cross Blood Drive, and decorates at the nursing home.
Boudreaux, 14-year-old daughter of Shane and Bre Boudreaux of Centerville, is a freshman at Patterson High.
She belongs to Beta Club and 4-H. She enjoys softball, volleyball, riding horses, cheerleading and hunting.
She is active with the St. Joseph Catholic Church youth group.
Deshotel, 14-year-old daughter of Sonny and Christy Deshotel of Morgan City, is an 8th-grader at Morgan City Junior High School.
She was named the junior high Student of the Year and was a member of the school’s sweetheart court. Her school activities include cheerleading, Student Council, 4-H, Honor Society, volleyball and AYSO soccer.
She enjoys soccer, reading, crafting, acting and boating. Her many community activities include the Sacred Heart Youth Group, food drives, toy drives and Christmas caroling.
Thibodaux, 16-year-old daughter of Micah and Jennifer Thibodaux of Patterson, is a junior at Patterson High.
The honor roll student attended Girls Leadership Academy at Nicholls. She is yearbook editor, and a member of Helping Hands, 4-H, Insight, volleyball, Life Teen and Ducks Unlimited.
Her interests include volleyball, reading, volunteering and traveling. In the community she is a St. Joseph Church proclaimer/commentator, assists with youth camp and the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine, and the Louisiana State Museum Easter Egg Hunt.
