EUNICE, La.. — A 34-year-old Eunice man remains in jail after his girlfriend told police he held her down and poured bleach on her face and other parts of her body.

Police said Chance Ceasar is being held on $11,500 bond after entering a not guilty plea Wednesday to one count each of second-degree domestic battery, domestic abuse battery with injuries and disturbing the peace.

Police say Ceasar had previously been in jail on an array of charges stemming from an incident in July when he allegedly threatened the same woman with a skillet.

Police say Ceasar was out of jail on bond when he was arrested Tuesday.

It was unclear if Ceasar has an attorney.
