17 top grads lead the way at MCHS commencement

Seventeen seniors with GPAs of at least 4.0 led the way at Morgan City graduation exercises Friday at Municipal Auditorium.
Here are the top graduates:
Lily Caitlyn-Jean Viator
Lily Caitlyn-Jean Viator is the daughter of Marie and Jason Viator. She was honored as the 2025-2026 St. Mary Parish Student of the Year and Morgan City High School Student of the Year.
Lily was a member of the Gifted and Talented program in academics, art, theater and music. She was a member of the MCHS cheer team, soccer team and cross-country team. She was also a member of the BETA Club, Drama Club and the ACT 30+ Club. Lily plans to attend Brigham Young University in Idaho and will major in biochemistry.
Duc Bui
Duc Bui is the son of Lien Vu and Truc Bui. He was a member of band, Student Council, the Louisiana Youth Advisory Council, Hope Squad, Tiger Ambassadors and Coastal Club.
Duc was a member of the Gifted and Talented program in academics, music and art. Duc, a National Merit Scholar, scored a 36 on his ACT and is a member of the ACT 30+ Club.
Duc plans to attend MIT to study computation and cognition.
Neli Soriano Jimenez
Neli Soriano Jimenez is the daughter of Angela Jimenez and Bernardino Soriano.
She was a member of the BETA Club.
She plans to attend Nicholls State University in the fall to study dental hygiene.
Ashley Nicole Denning
Ashley Nicole Denning is the daughter of Marcia Blereau and Corey Denning.
She was a member of Coastal Club, Key Club, 4-H and BETA Club.
Ashley plans to attend Louisiana Tech University to study professional aviation.
Erika Alyse Adams
Erika Alyse Adams is the daughter of Taniecia Duplantis.
She was a member of BETA Club, Student Council, Educators Rising, Band, Soccer, Coastal Club and JROTC Color Guard.
She plans to attend Nicholls State University to study biology.
Jewel Marie Fremin Blanco
Jewel Marie Fremin Blanco is the aughter of Brooke Blanco and Heather Suttoon.
She was a member of basketball, volleyball, track and BETA Club. Jewel plans to attend Nicholls State University to major in biology with a concentration in pre-med.
Jahdia Lynn Foussell
Jahdia Lynn Foussell is the daughter of Jamie Davis and Jakin Foussell. She was a member of cheer, BETA Club, Student Council and Tiger Ambassadors. She plans to attend Louisiana Tech to major in mechanical engineering.
Sofia Diaz
Sofia Diaz is the daughter of Vilma Cortez and Adan Diaz. She was a member of BETA Club, Student Council and cross country. She has enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. She plans to study industrial maintenance.
Kylah Farrington
Kylah Farrington is the daughter of Mykah Premeaux and Dane Farrington.
She was a member of BETA Club and Key Club. She plans to attend Nicholls State University in the fall to major in nursing.
Jose Manuel

Jose Manuel Plata Jr. is the son of Yasmin Perez and Jose Plata.
Jose was a member of BETA Club, track and field, and cross country. He plans to attend Nicholls State University to study nursing.
Kynlee Domangue
Kynlee Domangue is the daughter of Brittnie and Joey Domangue. She was a member of Key Club, 4-H, Coastal Club, and Student Council.
She plans to attend LSU to study dental hygiene.

Fredy Guillermo Ramos Rodriguez is the son of Mirna Ramos Rodriguez and Elmin Hernandez.
Fredy was a member of BETA Club, band, Coastal Club and Foreign Language Society. He plans to attend LSU to study electrical engineering.
James Robert
Bolner
James Robert Bolner is the son of Dr. Natalie Dishman and Barry Bolner. He participated in golf, tennis, swim, BETA Club, Educators Rising, Hope Squad and band. He plans to attend Nicholls State University in the fall to major in finance.
Chassity Lynn Pillaro
Chassity Lynn Pillaro is the daughter of Jerry and Kim Pillaro. She was a member of band, JROTC, and bowling.
She plans to attend LSU to study film, writing and music.
Jose Rivera
Jose Rivera is the son of Jose and Elizabeth Rivera. He was a member of band, football, soccer, tennis, BETA Club, Key Club and Coastal Club. Jose plans to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to major in electrical engineering.
Katelyn Renee Besse
Katelyn Renee Besse is the daughter of Kimberly and Timothy Besse.
She was a member of BETA Club, Drama Club, Student Council, and band. She plans to attend LSU to major in landscape architecture.
Jacqueline Maria Perez
Jacqueline Maria Perez is the daughter of Miguel Perez and Hortencia Bibian. She was a member of BETA Club, Tiger Ambassadors, soccer and cheer.
She plans to attend Fletcher Community College to study nursing.
